About me
I have always loved to paint and draw. I have been painting full-time as a professional since 2004. Before that I was in international business based in London. Selling big software systems to the banks. This allowed me to put money aside so I finally could start up as an independent artist and writer not forced to paint according to the demands of gallery owners and publishers . I also love to to reflect sociologically and philosophically about cultural practices and social processes I am a part of. I here draw on my academic training. Thus I have been writing two books (in Danish) about my experiences in two counter culture milieus. One is about the community Christiania which for a generation has occupied military barracks (a whole village in fact) in central Copenhagen. The other book is about the controversial and radical art community Friedrichshof gathering around the charismatic leader Otto Mühl in Austria. My latest book (this time in English) is about yoga which has been a part of my life for several years now. The book takes a critical look at yoga's role in society - then and now. I am painting, writing and living in central London and in the mountains in Austria. I am living with Brit who also is painting. She is also running a clinic in London offering osteopathy, acupuncture and massage. If you want to contact me you can e-mail me on borma(at)blueyonder.co.uk |
